Response of Photosynthetic Efficiency to Extreme Drought and Its Influencing Factors in Southwest China

In the context of continuous change in global climate, frequency and intensity drought heatwaves are increasing. This study took extreme event southwest China 2009/2010 as a case study. Based on sunlight-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF), we explored effects high-temperature weather photosynthetic efficiency, vegetation responses to two ecosystems, differences influencing factors. The results showed disproportionate between productivity represented by SIF greenness symbolized leaf area index (LAI). response efficiency was significantly inequitable grassland cropland. geodetector that ecosystems with more superficial canopy structures were susceptible high temperature. correlation Photosynthesis (PEI) temperature (T) vapor pressure deficit (VPD) ecosystem above 0.6. suggests exacerbates greenness, grasslands vulnerable drought. result is helpful for management.
